Cops

"Cops"

COPS are seen everywhere. In different countries and cities. Almost at all Places. The men in uniform are smart, strong and vigilant. They  are the symbols of State’s authority. They can deprive a person of his liberty and life. The presence of policemen helps ensure maintainence of law & order; protection of person and property. No wonder, they are omnipresent and omnipotent. Around Presidents and Princes. In palaces; places of worship; shopping arcades and in police stations. In different colours and kinds of uniforms.

Here are some samples of the pictures that I have taken.

  1. It is nice to see good faces in the police force. We normally look at the police force as faceless armed men! We can add Wagah border parade pictures to give another facade to the police force in India

    1. I think Indian and Pakistani BSF personnel at Wagah Border crossing will not be fitting for Uncle ji's album of real "Cops". The ones at the Border are well-rehearsed actors for entertaining the tourists and not for policing.

  2. Lovely pictures uncle. The policemen are unsung heroes, many doing their duties in most difficult of times. Behind the different demeanors must be so many different stories!

  4. It is heart warming so see these beautifully composed pictures. It is a good supplement to your earlier article "Police as an Instrument of social change" and in tandem with it. I feel quite positive for these great breed of persons, who most of us used to dismiss as just "objects" in our field of vision. You have given a new perspective to them. Since they are called "Officers" in many countries, I wonder don't they deserve respect here? As the saying goes- Ji kaho, Ji kahao
